Mr. Abutaleb earned his BSc in Computer Science & Engineering from Zarqa University in Jordan and his Master of Information Technology Management from the University of Wollongong, Australia. He also completed executive MBA at Harvard Business School and IESE Business School.

Mr. Abutaleb has over 25 years of professional experience in banking and technology across the GCC and MENA regions. He currently serves as Deputy Group CEO – Technology & Operations at Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain.  He is also a Director at United Bank for Commerce & Investment S.A.C. in Libya and a Director at BENEFIT Company B.S.C.(c) in Bahrain.

Mr. Abutaleb has held several senior leadership roles, including Director at Ahli United Bank (Egypt), Director (Spare Member) at Ahli United Bank K.S.C.P. in Kuwait, Acting Group Head of Information Technology, Operations & Administration at Ahli United Bank B.S.C. in Bahrain, and Group Head of IT and Digital Transformation at the same institution. He also served as Director of Digital Transformation at Al Hilal Bank in the UAE, and held multiple senior roles at Emirates NBD Group, including Senior Vice President – Digital Transformation, Head of Agile Delivery, and Program Executive Director. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Integration Specialist at TIBCO/MENA eSolutions and as a Software Engineer at Turah Center for Computer Research in Jordan.
